Thanks to Our “No on Proposition 90” Partners
Maria Alegria is mayor of the City of Pinole and president of the League. Chris McKenzie is executive director of the League.
As we reflect upon our successful opposition to Proposition 90 last November, we would like to recognize our partners in that effort. Prop. 90 was the most destructive proposition to appear on the statewide ballot in a long time — one that would have created havoc and a substantial loss of revenue in local and state governments throughout California. In addition to the substantial investment made by the League itself, the contributions of our allies were crucial in the effort to defeat Prop. 90.Below is a listing of the top donors to the No on Prop. 90 campaign, although we honor every contribution that was made.
